Switch or Ditch Cooking

When my kids were young, I was afraid of messing with ingredients in recipes.   The stakes were high in those days…I didn’t have time to prepare anything more exciting than toast, pasta, or rice, so when I found some time to cook, I certainly wasn’t going to risk messing it up with too much of one thing, or not enough of another!

I am learning now that almost all recipes  will survive, and often benefit from (according to my tastes, of course) a little switching around, or even ditching ingredients.

I’m no longer afraid, but have adapted a style of Ingredient Switch or Ditch…you’ll see it’s a common theme!
